Praise God for the incredible retreat we had from May 18-20, 2011 at the Rizal Re-Creation Center in Rizal, Laguna! It was truly an experience to remember. The place itself was absolutely stunning—nestled in the heart of nature, surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful surroundings. It was the perfect backdrop for a weekend of reflection, fun, and spiritual growth. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that God had blessed us with such a beautiful and serene location, one that allowed us to disconnect from the busyness of everyday life and truly focus on what mattered most.
Throughout the weekend, we shared so many meaningful moments. We bonded over group activities, shared meals, and, most importantly, moments of prayer and worship. The atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter, and it was amazing to see everyone come together as a community. Whether we were having fun in the recreational areas, sharing personal stories, or engaging in deep conversations, there was a strong sense of connection and camaraderie. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of fellowship and how much we can grow when we support and uplift one another in Christ.
As the coordinator, the one who was personally involved in every detail and worked closely with everyone to make this retreat happen, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of fulfillment. From the very beginning, I was deeply invested in ensuring that everything ran smoothly, from planning the schedule to communicating with vendors, organizing activities, and making sure all the logistics were in place. It was a lot of work—countless emails, meetings, and long hours—but I can honestly say that every moment of effort was worth it.
Being at the heart of it all, seeing all the pieces come together and watching everyone enjoy the retreat, gave me a deep sense of purpose. It wasn’t just about managing tasks; it was about creating an experience that would allow people to connect with each other and, more importantly, draw closer to God. The joy on everyone’s faces, the meaningful conversations, and the moments of worship made every late night, every challenge, and every small frustration melt away.
There were times when I questioned whether everything would fall into place, but seeing the outcome and how the event turned out made it all so rewarding. It was truly fulfilling to know that the hard work and dedication that went into planning had such a positive impact on everyone who attended. The retreat wasn’t just an event; it was a transformative experience, and to have been a part of that in such a pivotal role is something I will cherish for a long time.
Looking back now, I am filled with gratitude. The process of organizing it wasn’t always easy, but it was incredibly worth it. It’s moments like these that remind me of the importance of service and the joy that comes from pouring your heart into something that benefits others. The retreat was a success because of the collective effort of so many, and I feel blessed to have played a part in making it happen. All the hard work truly paid off, and I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything.
I truly believe that everyone who attended left the retreat feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and spiritually renewed. However, I can’t help but wish that more people could have experienced this special time with us. There were moments when I found myself thinking how great it would have been if everyone could have been there to share in the blessings and the joy we experienced. But I trust that, in God’s perfect timing, we will have more opportunities to gather and create more memories like these.
Overall, the retreat was an unforgettable experience. It not only deepened our relationships with one another but also drew us closer to God. I am so grateful for the chance to have been a part of it and for the memories we made that will last a lifetime. Thank you, Lord, for such an amazing and life-changing weekend!
